DPWH widens Kayapa- Benguet vital highway

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya -- The Dept. of Public Works and Highways is widening portions of the Kayapa- Benguet road to provide safe and comfortable route of transportation among commuters.
    Engineer Glen Miguel, DPWH 2nd District chief said the completion of the road widening along Nueva Vizcaya – Benguet Road Kilometer Stations 0249+560 - K0251+280, Pingkian, Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya is already 81.88% accomplished as of this April, 2021.

    He added the P39 million road widening project includes a total length of 3.44 kilometers involving shoulder, stone masonry works and installation of road safety devices.

    “The wider the road network, the safer for the traveling public preventing collisions and accidents in the area. This will improve the transport of essential products for both provinces as well as it will also hasten faster and safer movement of motor vehicles," Miguel said.

    He added the road widening project will contribute to the improvement of the socio-economic potentials of both provinces. -- PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya
