The mysterious tic-tac UFO

In 2004, US Navy pilots were baffled to see an unidentified flying object  (UFO) screeched through the sky at an unbelievably mind-blowing speed. The incident, which has come to be known as the Nimitz Incident -- seemed to have defied the laws of physics -- is now popularly called the tic-tac UFO. According to a testimonial given by one of the pilots, he revealed that this UFO dropped from around 80,000 feet to around 28,000 feet in several seconds, and 28,000 feet to just above sea level in less than one second!  If the pilot is to be believed, this UFO has attained a speed of 19,000 miles per hour, which is impossible for humans using current technology.
Dr. Jack Sarfatti, an expert in quantum physics suggested that the tic-tac UFO might have used a metamaterial to attain such breathtaking speed.
"The tic-tac does not need a lot of energy. They observed the tic-tac going from 80,000-ft down to 50-ft in less than two seconds and there's no jet engines, no flares. It's going at 1,000s of Gs, how's it doing that? There is no way it can do that by conventional propulsion. What happens is that if you pump electromagnetic energy into the material, it will have a certain resonance. In that resonance, the speed of light inside the material can go down to a very small number," Sarfatti explained.
As the Pentagon and US Navy assured the authenticity of the tic-tac video, conspiracy theorists had a heyday disputing them.  They strongly believed that this mysterious flying object is actually an alien flying vessel that might have visited the earth to monitor human activities.  Some people, however, believe that the tic-tac UFO could probably be a secretive military vessel, which begs the question:  Is there such a military vessel that defies the laws of physics?
Meanwhile, former CIA Director John Brennan commented, “It's wrong to believe there is no other life forms beyond Earth.”  He said it was "presumptuous and arrogant for people and governments to believe that the organisms found on earth were the only forms of life in the universe.  The phenomena we’re going to be seeing continues to be unexplained and might, in fact, be some type of phenomenon that is the result of something that we don’t yet understand,” he said.
"And that could involve some type of activity that some might say constitutes a different form of life.  Life is defined in many different ways," Brennan added.
Area 51
UFOs have been in the news for some time now.  Some of you might still remember Area 51 that was talked about in what was linked to the Roswell Incident of 1947, where hundreds who crashed in a ranch in Nevada saw an unidentified flying disc.  The UFO was swiftly recovered and transported away by government officials.  But many conspiracy theorists believe that the Roswell Incident was in fact a government cover up of an alien spacecraft crash.  The UFO was then hidden in Area 51, a restricted remote military base deep in the Nevada desert.
Area 51 was completely off limits from the public.  There were reports of helicopters patrolling the area to ward off people from getting close to the heavily guarded base.
Conspiracy theorists claim that the real purpose of Area 51 was to store the spacecraft where it can be examined by government operatives.  However, in 2013, the CIA responded to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiry, which disclosed that Area 51 was nothing more than a base used for aerial reconnaissance programs involving the CIA. There was no mention of UFO or alien spacecraft.  However, the conspiracy theories won’t give up.  Well, we live in a free country where everybody has the right to believe anything including aliens roaming the Earth.
But like Brennan said, there could be other forms of life in the universe, which raises the question: What are the chances that there are other stars in the Milky Way galaxy that have Earth-like planets that can sustain life?
Visiting aliens
If you ask me, I’d say that life in one form or another exists in other stars in the Milky Way or other galaxies.  And there are billions of galaxies in the entire universe.  Some might have more advanced societies than Earth.  They may have visited us already.  They’re probably wondering what a primitive way of life we’re having on Earth and decided to go back to their own world.
And that’s what probably happened 4,500 years ago when the Great Pyramid of Giza was built.  According to Erich Von Daniken’s Chariots of the Gods, aliens from outer space built the Great Pyramid.  Von Daniken hypothesized that primitive mankind was visited by extraterrestrial alien astronauts who provided early human laws, technology, and knowledge.
The question is: How was it possible for the ancient Egyptians to create such an architectural feat, which was to transport, lift, and put in place more than 2.3 million granite stone blocks each weighing an average of 2.5 to 15 tons for a total of six million tons of stone?  And the only tools they had were chisels, hammers, surveying tools, and a system of ramps to drag the stones into their positions.  Did they get any help from extraterrestrial aliens in building the Great Pyramid?
Over that period of time, many Egyptian engineering and construction experts had come up with various methods of quarrying, cutting and dressing rough-quarried granite boulders for use in masonry, transporting the 50-ton building blocks, and methodically placing them meticulously in position, layer after layer until the top piece (the crown) of stone which is 481 feet above the ground was in place. And there is still the question about how the pyramid was erected on a totally horizontal base, which was aligned precisely with the stars. They needed astronomers to achieve that.
Today, with a world population estimated at 7.8 billion as of March 2020, it took over two million years of human history for the world’s population to reach one billion, and only 200 years more to reach seven billion.  That was in 2007.  It is projected to increase to eight billion in 2023, nine billion in 2037, and 10 billion in 2057.  The increase in world population is mind boggling, which makes one wonder: What would be the world population by 2100 or 2200?
Von Daniken urges mankind to continue its exploration of space because perceived overpopulation (which is going to happen sooner than we think), food shortages, energy shortages, and the eventuality of a catastrophic or cosmic event -- such as the Sun dying -- has prompted the need to inhabit another planet or planets if mankind as a species is to survive.  However, scientists know that humans need to find another habitable planet long before the Sun’s demise. (PerryDiaz@gmail.com
