 38 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Another 38 wanted persons with warrants of arrest were arrested July 25 to 31 in Cordillera.
    Records of Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said for last week, Baguio City Police Office recorded highest number of arrests with 23.
    Kalinga Provincial Police Office was second with five; Ifugao, 4; Abra, 2; Benguet, 2 while Apayao and Mountain Province had one arrest each.
    Perfecto Dalingay was arrested for illegal drugs, Resurrecion Neri Macabeo for rape and Baylon Guzman Gumanab for violation of Presidential Decree 705 known as Forestry Reform Code of the Philippines.
    Jonie Mongiho Piya-o was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9262 (violence against women and their children).
    Domingo Racsa Benson was arrested for violation of PD 705, Samuel Bayog Fernandez Jr. for violation of RA 9262.
    Rex Petang Baluga was nabbed for arson.
    Nancy Baddal Lawagan was for homicide while Jermaine Concepcion Riňosa for theft.


 
2 held in Abra, Baguio 
for selling shabu to cops

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet --  Two persons were arrested in  Abra and Baguio City last week for allegedly selling shabu to cops.
    One was a tricycle driver who was arrested in Bangued, Abra July 31.
    Reports submitted to Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. Ronald Oliver Lee identified the suspect as Rey Sequerra Bayle aka “Roy,” 30, single, of Barangay Calaba South, Abra.
    Bayle was arrested by police after he sold to a cop a sachet of suspected shabu weighing of 0.57 grams worth P4,000.
    Seized from Bayle were buy-bust money, cell phone and a tricycle.
    Inventory of confiscated items was done at the site witnessed by  kagawad Marlbour Jude Balderama, media representative Edgar Tanura,  and Jose Bersamin of the Dept. of Justice.
    In Baguio City, a jobless man was arrested also for allegedly selling shabu to a cop at Bugallon Street West, Modern Site, Aurora Hill on Aug. 1.
    Police named the suspect as Joaquin Dela Cruz Albay, 24.
    Albay reportedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu weighing a gram worth P6, 800 to the cop.
    Seized from his possession were bust money and cell phone used in the transaction.
    Markings and inventory of the seized pieces of evidence were done on-site in the presence of prosecutor Oliver Prudencio, village chief Rico Yumol of West Modern Site Aurora Hill and Charles Limon of media.
    Charges for illegal drugs were prepared against suspects by respective police stations.

Gunmen kill real estate agent in Pangasinan

BINMALEY, Pangasinan -- –A real estate agent from Mangaldan town died Aug. 1 after unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen shot him, police said. Investigators said Peter Uba Deliso, 29, had just left an eatery here and was driving his Toyota Fortuner when the suspects fired shots at his vehicle around 2 p.m. 
The victim suffered several bullet wounds in different parts of his body.
He was taken to the Jesus Nazarene Hospital in Lingayen town, also in Pangasinan, but died while being treated.
Police are trying to identify the perpetrators and motive of the murder.
