Jeep falls off Itogon cliff; 5 persons hurt

ITOGON, Benguet -- —
Five persons were injured when their jeepney fell into a ravine here Monday
morning.
Driver Rommel Apilado, 36, told authorities he lost control of the wheel as they were traveling Barangay Tuding.
Aside from Apilado, rushed to a hospital in nearby Baguio City for treatment of injuries were his relatives Armando, 24 and Joven, 28; Lafty Laoyan 22, and Jeremy Tomas, 24.
Following this, authorities warned drivers to always check their vehicles before venturing on the road as roads in the Cordillera like Itogon are dangerous considering these are located on roadsides where most don’t have guardrails.
The mining town of Itogon is a few kilometers to Baguio City.
