Cagayan soil mound kills two boys

TUGUEGARAO
CITY -- Two boys died after they were buried in a soil mound that
collapsed near the Cagayan River in Purok 2, Barangay Andarayan North, Solana,
Cagayan on June 10, a belated police report on June 14 said.
Capt.
Isabelita Gano, the Cagayan police spokesman, said Niño Chris Baggayan, a
13-year-old high school student, and A-jay Lumabao, a 10-year-old Grade 6 pupil
died one after the other after they were unearthed in a soil collapse in the
village. Baggayan died before 12 midnight on June 10 while Lumabao died on June
11 morning at the St. Paul Hospital in this city.
The
two boys with friend Andrew Cambri allegedly dug soil at the ravine to serve as
a shed during a picnic near the Cagayan River but it collapsed on them.
