32 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police arrested 32 wanted persons in Cordillera June 5 to 11.
Records of Police Regional Office’s Investigation and Detective Management Division bared Baguio City Police Office had the highest number of arrests with 11 followed by Benguet with seven, Abra and Kalinga with five each, Ifugao, two and Apayao and Mt. Province with one arrest each.
    Arrested were Domingo Pastoral for lasciviousness and Realyne Balane for illegal drugs.
Adriano Tumbaga was arrested for estafa.
    This, as Garbell Taplin Lasoy, 43 of km. 55, Cattubo, Atok, Benguet and driver of Isuzu Elf with license plate TSA 201 was apprehended June 11 for illegal logging.
    Lasoy was nabbed around 2:20 p.m. km 43, Abiang, Atok, Benguet by Atok police and Environment officers.
    Investigation disclosed Atok police after being informed of illegal logging activity and transportation of pine lumber.
    Upon arrival at the area, an Isuzu Elf was already flagged down by personnel of CENRO-Buguias.    
    The vehicle was loaded with freshly sawn pine lumber without  documents.
    The suspect was brought to Atok police station while the vehicle loaded with pine lumber was brought to CENRO-Buguias for safekeeping.
    One hundred pieces of pine lumber worth P17,500 were confiscated.
    In Baguio City, on June 11, at Camp Allen, cops arrested Joenel Luminton Pandagos, 22, of 61, Holyghost Extension after presiding judge Cecilia Corazon Sumcad Dulay-Archog, RTC First Judicial Region, Branch 7, Baguio City ordered his arrest for villation of  of Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 (RA 9995).
    Bail was set at P60,000 for his temporary liberty.
    In Tabuk City, Kalinga, also on June 11, police raided a marijuana plantation in Sitio Katao, Barangay Lacnog.        Some 2,000 fully grown marijuana plants worth P400,000 were confiscated along with some 1,000 marijuana seedlings worth P40,000.
    All marijuana plants were uprooted and burned at the site. No cultivator was apprehended during the raid.
    In Tabuk City on June 12, , a case of robbery with intimidation transpired at COD Gas Station, Bulo.
    The victim was identified as the 19-year-old manager of COD Gas Station while suspects were two students aged 16 and 17.
    According to the victim, while she was at the cashier's desk when suspects entered the store and acted as ordinary customers while other customers were still at the gas station.
    When the other customers left, one of the students pointed a handgun to the victim while his companion carted rims of cigarettes and loaded these in his backpack.
    When suspects sensed the arrival of other customers, they ran towards their parked black/white Honda XRM motorcycle at the gas station then the victim shouted that she was robbed.
    Customers grabbed the suspects while on board their motorcycle as other passersby restrained the suspects.
    Confiscated from their possession was a replica of Cal.45, four reams of mighty cigarettes, vivo cellphones, Casio watch and P5,562 cash. 
    Police arrested the students and brought them to Bulanao police station.
    In Baguio City, police nabbed nine persons for illegal cockfighting  June 12 in Youngland, Camp 7.
    Arrested were Roland Pajimola Castillo, 39 of no. 23 Cudirao, Loakan Proper; Bert Binay-an Akiapat, 51 of 259 Lower East Pias, Camp 7; Joseph Christopher Buenaventura Abuan, 35, of 75, Purok Bubon, Loakan Proper; Allan Palen Guia, 51, of Loakan Proper; Geraldo Espinilla Bentican, 19, of 11, Purok 7, Zigzag, Camp 7; Fernando Andea Amparado, 56, of Spring Hills, Purok 3, Loakan Apugan;Richard Francia Comising, 39 of 107, Upper Atok Trail; Alan Maimpis Canda, 62 of 109, Purok 2, Loakan Liwanag and Minardo Cados Vizcaya, 48, of Pias, Camp 7.      
    Confiscated from them were P1,500 cash, 10 gaffs (fighting blades), two live fighting cocks and one dead fighting cock.
