43 wanted persons nabbed; no crime in 47 Cordillera towns

Trinidad, Benguet – A total of 43 wanted persons in Cordillera were arrested
Oct. 16 to 22 even as 49 towns in the region posted zero crime during the
period.
Based from records of the police Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division for the week, Benguet provincial police office recorded highest number of arrests 15 followed by Baguio City police office with nine; Ifugao, seven; Abra, three and Kalinga with one.
The series of manhunt operations were highlighted with the arrest of five most wanted persons.
Meanwhile, as the result of intensified police presence and campaign against criminality, during the same period, 64 municipalities in the Cordillera Region and two police stations of the Baguio City Police Office recorded zero crime incidents.
In Abra, 25 out of 27 municipalities recorded zero crime while in Benguet, nine out of 13 municipalities recorded zero crime.
In Ifugao, eight out of 11 municipalities recorded zero crime while six municipalities of Kalinga and Apayao recorded zero crime.
Aurora Hill Police Station and Marcos Highway Police Station recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City.
Meanwhile, the entire province of Mountain Province recorded zero crime incidents for the period.
