Engineer shot dead in La Union

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union -- A site engineer of a telecommunications company was gunned down in Barangay Lingsat in this city on Tuesday.

Frederick Asper, 42, a resident of San Vicente in Agoo, La Union, was parking his service vehicle when the assailant approached and shot him several times, his companion Roy del Rosario told investigators.

Police are investigating the case to identify perpetrators and their motive in killing Asper.
