Winners of Bontoc sports festival bared

Ross Kiat-ong and Municipal Sangguniang
Kabataan Federation president Sherwin Chamkas, bared winners of the
recent Bontoc Sports Festival “Chagsen Cup” at the Municipal Capitol during the
Bontoc 114th founding anniversary and 18th Am-among
Festival of this capital town.
Sports events included badminton, slo-pitch,
volleyball, sepak takraw, table tennis, word factory, darts, chess and scrabble
were participated in by around 400 youths.
Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., said youth
development was one of the present administration’s priorities as it recognizes
the youth’s significant role in building a more developed community.
Also present during the awarding ceremony was
Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Diga Kay Gomez.
Winners in badminton singles males: Amel Fagyan, first place
John Mark Lapa-an, second; Kent Bentayen, third.
First place women: Rhalda Lipang, first; Prescalyn Chapiyen, second and Jill Docyogen, third.
First placers for badminton doubles were Job Lemuel Kulamao and John Jonathan Andaya.
Second placers were Tyrone James Chilem and Anton Zaren Nasungan. Third placers were Junal Cagay-an and Mark Branford Andaya.
Female category: first placers, Abelet Napanoy and Rose Ann Cayabas; second, Michaella Almendral and Krishnet Ngallawen while third were Summer Ayochok and Olivia Guita. Table tennis male singles: first, Gazsi Gomez; second, Eric Fulangen Jr.; third, Melchor Tudlong. Females: first, Jilien Tangilag, second, Christine Joy Miranda and third, Cashmire Pascual. Table tennis male doubles: First, Gazsi Gomez and Don Padua, second, Mark Branford Andaya and Geralf Gasmeña while third were Eunark Andaya and Edwin Bumas-ang, Jr.
