SM Prime Holdings to build 4th mall in Region 2

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya -- SM Prime Holdings will start building a new SM Mall in this town next year.
Mayor Antonio Sergio Bagasao said he recently met with SM Prime Holdings executives who informed local officials of their plan of putting up an SM Mall in this town.
    Visiting SM Prime Holdings were executives Ronald Tumao, senior vice president; Art Chuaunsu, assistant vice president for market research and planning; and engineer Joseph Bernardo, senior assistant vice president.
Bagasao said the SM Mall will be built on the right side outside the newly opened Bayombong-Solano P478-M bypass road in Barangay Santa Rosa.
    "The visiting executives of SM Prime Holdings are now preparing the necessary documents for the construction of the SM Mall in our town," he said.
    Citing the plan of SM Prime Holdings, Bagasao said the SM Mall-Bayombong will be a business complex with food chains, wearing apparel and accessories, electronic equipment and gadgets, a pharmacy, a cinema, a play station and children's playground, wide parking area and other facilities for the enjoyment of the people of Nueva Vizcaya.
    The mayor said it is an honor that SM has chosen this booming town as the site for the fourth SM Mall in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley).
    Cagayan Valley comprises the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and the island province of Batanes.
    SM locations in the region are SM City Tuguegarao, SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown, both in Cagayan province, and SM City Cauayan in Isabela province.
    "We thank SM Prime Holdings for this project. This will help a lot in our aspirations to make Bayombong's capital town an investment hub," Bagasao said.
    He added that this will lead to the opening and boosting of businesses as well as jobs for the town and the whole province of Nueva Vizcaya.
    "Tax collections by the local government will also increase to fund our social programs and projects for our people in this town," Bagasao said.
