PRO Cordillera brass awards 15 Benguet, Baguio PNP officers

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Top Cordillera Philippine National Police officials headed by new regional director Brig. Gen. K. Peredo awarded six Benguet police officers for meritorious service during Peredo’s first command visit April 4 an later in  Baguio City where nine police officers were also given medals.
    Here in the regional police headquarters where the Bengeut PPO is located, Peredo presented awards assisted by Col. Damian Olsim, Benguet Provincial Police Office director and Benguet PPO command group.
Medalya ng Kagalingan (medal of merit) was given to Maj. Joshua B. Mateo and Cpl. Blanco T. Agagon, Jr of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for the successful arrest of no. 7 most wanted person at provincial level recently in Baguio City.
    The same award was given to MSg Mark S Saoyao and Pat. Rhodallyn V Dagman of Tuba MPS for the successful arrest in Tuba, Benguet of an individual wanted for murder by Community Corrections Officer of the Braunschweig County Court of Germany on Jan. 31.
    Meanwhile, medalya ng kasanayan (PNP efficiency medal) was awarded to SSg Jasmin Apple F. Salve and Cpl. Mambi J. Fuchigami of Itogon MPS for the arrest of an individual wanted for lasciviousness.
    In Baguio City, Peredo also later awarded nine police officers of the city’s police 0ffice for their exemplary performance in line of duty.
    A Medalya ng Kagalingan (medal of merit) was awarded to Police Capt. Filmore Pasiwen and Police Patrolman Maruel Benito for the successful arrest of an individual listed as no. 7 most wanted person on the city level for the first quarter of this year in Cresencia Village here.
    This award was also given to Executive Master Sgt. Augusto Dawiguey and Patrolwoman Bernice Pacyaan for the successful buy-bust operation and arrest of a high-value individual in Barangay Lower Fairview, this city.
    The Medalya ng Pagtulong sa Nasalanta (PNP disaster relief and rehabilitation medal) was awarded to Capt. Gideon Bennaguen, PEMS Eric Bangdo, Master Sgt. Julie D. Cabarrubias, Police Corporal Jemalyn Balog, and Patrolwoman Brigitte Irish Cacao for their outstanding performance during the seven-day “Bangon Palengke” rehabilitation program of Blocks 3 and 4 of the burnt Baguio City Public Market.
    Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief, awarded the medals during his first command visit here March 31.
    He was assisted by Col. Francisco Bulwayan Jr., BCPO chief.
    Peredo congratulated the awardees for their noble sacrifices and commitment and dedication that contributed to building a positive image for the police organization.
