DOH: 127-K Cordi folks vaccinated

BAGUIO CITY – The Dept. of Health-Cordillera Administrative Region said some 127,190 residents in the region were injected their first dose of anti-Covid-19 vaccines.
    Of the total number, 42,728 are frontline health workers or those in the A1 category; 42,673 are senior citizens or the A2; 41,008 adults with co-morbidities (A3); 673 essential service workers (A4); and 108 from the poor population (A5).
    Dr. Amelita Pangilinan, DOH-CAR assistant director, said: “Sana magpabakuna na lahat ng senior citizens natin kasi priority sila (We hope our senior citizens will already avail of the vaccination program because they are a priority).”
    The DOH record shows the region has received a total of 230,200 doses of different brands of vaccines -- 74,213 received Sinovac vaccine; 40,515 received AstraZeneca; 300 vaccinated with Gamaleya, and 12,162 vaccinated with Pfizer.
    “Please have yourselves registered with your respective local government units so that you can be counted and be able to receive the vaccine,” she said.
    Record also showed Baguio City had the most vaccinated residents in the region at 53,842 who got the first dose and 22,748 who have completed the two doses.
    Baguio received 115,259 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine since the start of the roll-out in March.
    The city received another 5,100 doses of Gamaleya vaccine last week. -- PNA
