3 killed in Pangasinan motorcycle accidents

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan -- Three riders were killed Nov. 5 in three separate motorcycle crashes in Pangasinan, the provincial police office here said.
In Infanta town, a back rider was killed after she was thrown off the motorcycle when it hit a carabao crossing a highway in Infanta town at about 7:15 p.m.
Cpt. Christopher Nacional, Infanta police chief, said Rina May Picardan Camado, 21, was immediately taken to the Dasol Community Hospital in nearby Dasol town but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The motorcycle, which was driven by Patrick Muega de Lara, 25, was traversing the southbound lane of the road in Barangay Maya in Infanta when a carabao suddenly crossed the road. De Lara suffered injuries in different parts of his body and is now recuperating in a hospital.
Nacional said the carabao lost one of its horns when it was also hit by a sport utility vehicle traversing the northbound lane.
The carabao, which is owned by Michael Medina, 40, of Barangay Maya, did not appear to have been hurt.
In Bolinao town, a construction worker was killed when his motorcycle was rear ended by a tricycle, sending him sliding on the road and crashing into another tricycle.
The incident took place at about 4:35 p.m. in Barangay Cabuyao.
Police said the construction worker, Arnhel Eufemiano Opolinto, 42, was already dead when he reached the Bolinao Community Hospital, where he was taken.
In Mangatarem town, another construction worker was killed after his motorcycle collided with a tricycle in Barangay Bueno at 7:10 p.m.
Police said Marcelino Delaria Collado, 48, of Barangay General Luna, was taken to the Mangatarem District Hospital, but he also did not reach the hospital alive.
The tricycle driver, Ambrosio Rusco Cervantes, 53, and his passengers, Patricio Orcas Cervantes, 15, and Zenaida Orcas Cervantes, 47, suffered minor injuries.
